Jeff Kershaw and Jaci Cochrane secured a hard-fought defense verdict on behalf of a physician client in an emotionally charged wrongful death trial. The Plaintiff alleged that the physician failed to timely diagnose and treat a patient's pulmonary embolus, contending that this delay led to the patient's death. Over the course of a highly stressful and emotionally demanding trial, Jeff and Jaci methodically presented the medical evidence and expert testimony necessary to demonstrate that the physician met the applicable standard of care. Jeff Kershaw and Priyanka Thomas secured an unanimous defense verdict on behalf of a physician in a medical malpractice trial involving allegations that the physician negligently performed a procedure that purportedly resulted in a severe infection. After hearing the evidence, the Jury found in favor of the physician, rejecting the Plaintiff’s claims and concluding that the care provided met the standard of care.

On November 3, 2025, Peter Anderson and Todd Allen proceeded to trial in Wichita Falls in the defense of a local neurosurgeon accused of negligently causing the death of a 35-year-old patient. After a two-week trial, the jury swiftly delivered a complete defense verdict. While it was hard being away from home, Peter and Todd very much enjoyed their time in Wichita Falls.

After a demanding 2.5-week healthcare liability jury trial, Peter Anderson and Priyanka Thomas secured a defense verdict in County Court of Law No. 1 in Dallas County for their client. Peter and Priyanka represented a longtime, dedicated hospitalist physician who cared for and dutifully monitored the patient after his two-day anterior and posterior multi-level lumbar fusion surgery. The patient suffered an IV infiltration to his right forearm during the procedure, which he alleged caused a compartment syndrome resulting in permanent nerve damage and complex regional pain syndrome. Plaintiff sought millions of dollars for future medical care needs. After hearing the evidence, the jury determined that our client was not negligent nor a proximate cause of injury, and a take-nothing verdict for the defense was entered by the court.
